Books I just HAD to buy but are still sitting unread on my shelf

Okay, So from the heading of this post you should all have figured out what I’m going to be talking about today. This will probably apply to some of you readers out there! I have a bad habit of buying books that I just have to read and having them sit on my shelves for AGES.

I guess you could put this down to laziness, but let me tell you. I think it’s a little different! You know sometimes you just have this absolute need to read a book so you pick it up and just go with it and end up finishing it within a couple of hours or days. This usually occurs with me, and usually those books I have brought stay on my shelves because I fell like I’m not ready to read them yet. Hence why they are left unread. It’s funny though, seeing my parents question my whole process. They just don’t understand why I keep going out and buying more books to sit on my shelf. I guess anyone who doesn’t read wouldn’t understand. It doesn’t really matter how long they have been on my shelves, it could be months or days, I will end up reading them!

So without further analysis about this topic, I guess I should tell you guys all about these books that I have not read yet that are feeling lonely on my bookshelf.

January TBR!

Hello from the other side [of 2016] *sings in Adele’s voice*

Anyways, Hello guys! We are officially in 2016 (yes I know you all know this but whatever), and since it’s a new month I will be writing the ritual ‘*insert Month here* TBR’! (I can sense all the excitementūüėā)

As you all know so far, I have been doing my TBR very differently, this is because I was finding it difficult to stick to the set books for the month. Because you all know that feeling when you don’t want to read a book, so you put it off until like¬†4 months later, but whatever!

So, it’s a fresh new year, and to start this year off with a bang, I’m going to give myself

as my set reading for this month! Let’s do this!! (as you can already tell I’m very pumped for this year, it’s going to be full of reading and amazingness {did I really just type that, Ignore!})

I have a few book reviews coming your way as well, these include the following:

  • Warm Bodies by¬†Isaac Marion
  • Stolen by¬†Lucy Christopher
  • This is where it Ends by¬†Marieke Nijkamp

So stay tuned my friends!!

Happy new year to you all and I wish you all the very best. May your blog and life be filled with books!

ūüéĄDecember TRB and Last Months Wrap Up!ūüéĄ

Last month was¬†my best reading month since finishing uni and being on break! I have finally picked up more books because I’ve been on Uni vacation! You can find the books I’ve read previously on this blog as I have written out blog reviews for them.

This month I want to change the way my TBR’s works. From now on I’m going to set myself one book as a set reading, but allow myself the freedom to choose other books to read during the month.

My set reading for this month will be a book I have been wanting so badly to read. This would be *drum roll please!*

More Than This by Patrick Ness!

I will also be continuing with my other books from my last months TBR, which include:

The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt

Sleeping Giants by Sylvain Neuvel

Which hopefully won’t take long, I have a pretty decent amount of pages left, but I will have it finished by this month!

November – TBR & Rant

Hello, Hello!

So you may have noticed that last month I was on hiatus. Well, I was having troubles with the whole reading a book within a time frame thing as well as a hell of a lot of troubles with this blog. I felt like I wasn’t fulfilling my goals with the reading because I have been so stressed with University because exams are next week (kill me now)¬†and I’m not coping well. And just the layout and whole look and feel of my blog was annoying me to no end, to the point where I made a new one and then realised I couldn’t save it because it was only open for a few weeks (I’m so annoyed with this, I made the perfect blog and I was so happy with it but it just shut down), it took me forever to make the new blog and I put so much effort into it and I’m mad they put it down. Sorry for the rant guys, but I guess I feel like I need to explain whats going on since I’m trying to be a blogger and all.¬†Okay, as well I feel kind of overwhelmed in this bookblog community, I’m not really sure what to post on this blog, Like I can’t post reviews because I haven’t finished my books so what do I do. I feel a little lost.

So, because of this, my TBR this month will only be two books: (yep, how low can I go?)

  1. The Goldfinch (Need to finish this, but will probably be a long one to finish and will feature in every month)
  2. I Am Number Four
  • Mini Review: The Goldfinch so far

Okay, so this book so far is quite good, however just looking at this book is making me feel intimidated, every time I look at it I know I should read it but I feel like I have to work up the courage to sit down and read it. Even though I say this, I’m always interested to read more of it. I’m currently on page 164 (yeah, still around the start of the book) and honestly I think that it will take me a while to read. I think the writing style so far is very good, but the pace is slow¬†right now, which I think is why I’m taking forever to read it.

  • Picking up from the last moths TBR:

I still haven’t read more of The assassins blade, I think that ship has sailed and has been blown to smithereens.

Okay, thanks for sticking with me guys. And if you have read this post, Thank you and I hope you have a great day/Afternoon!

(Also, How do you like the new blog theme. I quite like it, its really cute!)
