Tag: Book Characters

G’day fellow readers! How are you all so far in the New Year? So today I will go ahead and do the ‘Character book Tag’, which will include a whole lot of questions in regards to the book I have read! So let’s go!

1 – Who is the best kick ass character

If you have to ask me this, then you obviously don’t know me very well since I have been ranting about this for SO LONG NOW😂 *cough* Rose Hathaway *cough* Did you expect something different???

2 – Which character do you most dislike?

Jesus, well, where do I start. I’m just going to put this out there, that this is my opinion and that is all. But I have never really been a big fan of John Green’s work, especially his book ‘Looking for Alaska’ and also ‘The Fault in our stars’. I did in fact read half (around there) of his book looking for Alaska and I just couldn’t do it. The main character was just so annoying. His narration just annoyed me so much I couldn’t deal with reading it anymore. Chill guys, don’t bite my head off!!

Tag: The Secret Life of a Book Blogger

1 – How long have you been a blogger

I have been a blogger for around 4-5 months (I think, based on my first follower). I don’t think it’s been a long time at all, but I think I have changed a little over that time. My taste for books as an example and I guess my confidence with blogging!

2 – At what point do you think you will stop

I HOPE that I won’t end up stopping, but as I progress through university I know its going to be so difficult for me to read and blog so I think it will slow down around then (very regrettably thought). Hopefully, I’ll be on track though, I’m trying to plan my posts out now so I have a structure during the week! (Then I post more!)

3 – What is the best thing?

I think the best thing about being in this community is meeting all these awesome people on this account and also through other social media. Seeing other peoples opinions on the books that I have read is really interesting and sometimes I find that I miss things that others have picked up so it’s cool!

Tag: Would You Rather

I think I was tagged to do this, I’m not sure 😂 But anyway, this is the would you rather book tag!

1 – Would you rather only read trilogies or only read standalones

I think I would enjoy reading standalones more than trilogies. I guess it means that I would be able to read more about different characters and worlds. However, I think it would be difficult because you wouldn’t have enough time in just one book to develop a character to a greater potential.

2 – Would you rather only read male or female authors

Honestly, I don’t care if the author is male or female, just as long as they create a great book with an interesting concept is enough for me. (But lets just say a female, just because *Girl Power*)

3 – Would you rather shop at Barns and Noble or Amazon

I guess Amazon (we don’t have a Barns and Noble in Aus – well not that I know of), it’s cheaper and more convenient.

Tag: TBR Book Tag!

I was tagged by Ellie from Belle Infini to do the TBR book tag! Thank you once again 🙂

1 – How do you keep track of your TBR pile?

Most of the books on my TBR are on a particular shelf, so I know what books I have and haven’t read (however I do remember which one I haven’t read off the top of my head). A second method is Goodreads! That sight is like the Holy Grail of books haha.

2 – If your TBR mostly print or e-book?

Both actually, I try to download some books from NetGalley to review. But most of my TBR books are from the bookstore so they are print books.

3 – How do you determine which book from your TBR to read next?

I guess it’s a matter of what I feel like reading. I usually try to pick what I want to read what book is popping to me and is screaming READ ME!

Tag: How do I Read?

Hello Guys! I thought I would do a tag just because, and so you guys can get to know me a little better. I found this tag off Kendra from ‘Reads and Treats’. Okay, here I go!

1 – How do you find out about new books?

I find out about new books mainly through my Instagram and Goodreads accounts. People love to post a lot on Instagram, which gives me a whole lot of books to look at and consider reading. A majority of the books I own have been advertised from there, and also another majority is just from walking down to the bookstore and having a look around

2 – How Did you Get into Reading?

I started reading in Primary school, and the first books I remember reading were the Ink heart Trilogy by Cornelia Funke. I think those books were the first series I have started and finished when I was younger. After that, I specifically remember picking up the Hush, Hush series by Becca Fitzpatrick. And I remember loving this books quite a lot in my younger times, especially since the Author had around the same name as me (and I was crushing on a guy called Patrick at the time, so if you think about it: Becca (me) – Fits – Patrick (the guy) so being the naive little person I was, thought that was a sign from above. However that never really happened and I was very disappointed.). Then after those books I picked up the Vampire Academy books by Richelle Mead and Holy Moley I was sucked into the world and I have never escaped since haha.

Tag: My Reading Habits!

reading-habits-book-tag-copy
1. Do you have a certain place at home for reading?

Yes, I have numerous places, I usually lay on the sofa or on my bed and read, with the company of a lot of pillows! (and candles)

afterlight2. Bookmark or random pieces of paper?

I use to use random pieces of paper, on occasions I still do if I can’t find anything quickly. But I took some paint cards from Bunnings (a hardware store) and am currently using them. I put some of my favourite quotes from the book on them as well, just for a personal touch.

3. Can you just stop reading or do you have to stop at the end of a chapter/after a certain amount of pages?

I usually stop anywhere in the book, I don’t finish reading a chapter then put it down.
